Of all of Disney/Pixar’s recent films, none strikes a chord with
us as much as “WALL-E.” In a bleak future where the earth is
covered in trash and uninhabitable, the heroic little robot Wall-E
spends his days cleaning up humanity’s mess in the hopes that
eventually the planet can once again sustain life.
Sadly, that future is much closer than we’d care to admit.
And without a real Wall-E to help, it’s up to us to act.
Inspired by the film, the New Jersey Conservation Partnership is
proud to present “WALL-E: Changing Trash into an Urban
Garden.” Our special presentation will provide education on
composting, hydroponics and repurposing items to use in
gardens. We will feature tips on recycling, reusing and
finding new ways to grow food.
More importantly, we’ll commit ourselves to ensuring our planet never becomes a place that we have to abandon to little robots cleaning up our messes.
The mission of the New Jersey Conservation Partnership is to
preserve New Jersey’s land and natural resources for the
benefit of all. The partnership protects threatened natural
areas and farmland through land acquisition and stewardship,
promotes strong New Jersey land use policies and forges
partnerships to help safeguard water and other natural
resources.
